Lockton Pacific Series expands employee benefits operations

Employers are evolving their health care benefit strategies to control spending, enhance employee health and well being.

October 22, 2019, Los Angeles, CA—Employers’ decisions when developing and adapting their benefits plans are becoming particularly complex against today’s backdrop of escalating costs, reduced choices, and growing competition for talent. Bryan Davis and Sherri Harrison, who have been promoted as leaders to grow Lockton’s Benefits Practice in the Pacific Northwest and Orange County, will be a tremendous asset to regional employers who want to manage their bottom line more effectively while also providing top-notch benefits to retain and compete for talent in a tight labor market.

“More than ever, employers are struggling to balance their recruiting and retention goals in the face of an increasingly complex and costly healthcare system,” says Davis, the newly appointed Market Leader of Lockton’s Northern California and Pacific Northwest Benefits Practice. “This environment calls for creative, forward-thinking solutions based on advanced analytics that enable employers to more effectively manage costs, design plans and deliver more personalized benefits options to drive employee engagement and care management.”

Harrison, whose expanded role now includes Director of Lockton’s Irvine Benefits Practice, agrees.

“With shifts in the group health insurance market, and healthcare costs rising beyond wages, more and more employers are focused on alternative funding options, gaining better understanding of their utilization and claims, and offering competitive total rewards packages,” says Senior Vice President Sherri Harrison, a 25+ year veteran who most recently served as Senior Consultant/San Diego Office Leader for Mercer before joining Lockton. “These are only a few areas where Lockton, in particular, can make a significant impact. Lockton’s entrepreneurial and high performance culture allows us to be nimble, innovative and decisive so we can adapt to each unique market, better leverage our resources and teams, and respond more quickly and effectively to client needs.”

Lockton is in the unique position to be a strategic partner for employers as they face these challenging times. Through the leadership, influence and depth of expertise in their respective markets, Davis and Harrison are expanding Lockton’s employee benefits presence in the Portland and Orange County business communities to help top employers redefine their health care benefit strategies.

A 20-year consultant and advocate for clients’ benefits programs, Davis is focusing on establishing and growing Lockton’s Benefits Practice in Portland, where he is relocating. He will continue to be responsible for talent acquisition and development, performance management, and client solutions throughout Northern California. Harrison’s leadership role in Lockton’s San Diego office is expanding to include Orange County, where she is focusing on talent recruiting, development and support as well as local market strategies to grow and scale the company’s new benefits practice in Irvine.

“In the past year alone, the Pacific Series’ Employee Benefits Practice has experienced double digit growth, creating tremendous leadership opportunities for our high caliber team,” says Won Andersen, Employee Benefits Practice Leader for Lockton Pacific Series. “We are thrilled these two extraordinary professionals will lead a benefits team and grow our presence in these two vital markets, helping employers in Portland and Orange County make more informed decisions to control their health care spending, avoid shifting costs to employees, and enhance their health and well-being.”

Lockton Pacific Series has eight offices throughout the Western United States including Portland, Sonoma, San Francisco, Sacramento, Encino, Los Angeles, Irvine and San Diego.
