Christopher Williams joins Lockton Dunning Benefits as Vice President

Williams brings 10 years of complex benefits management experience to New Orleans office

NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 21, 2020 – Lockton Dunning Benefits (LDB) continues to expand its footprint in the New Orleans benefits industry with the addition of Vice President Christopher Williams. Williams brings 10 years of experience managing large, complex health plans and benefits programs to LDB’s New Orleans office.

“Lockton Dunning Benefits focuses on three stakeholders: our clients, associates and the communities in which we do business. Chris is an active, engaged citizen in New Orleans who understands what it means to be on the client side of a benefits transaction. He brings a high degree of integrity and business acumen to our clients there,” said Bruce Sammis, CEO of LDB.

William’s transition into healthcare advising is supported by his former roles overseeing the management of large, self-funded health plans. His background in hospitality, government, construction and corporate administration uniquely positions him to serve as a strategic adviser for a broad range of businesses. In his new role with LDB, Williams will bring tested ideas to control benefit plan costs, work to improve employee wellness metrics and outcomes, increase employee engagement with the benefits program and enhance bottom line results for employers.

“To assess a client’s benefits needs, I always strive to first understand their workforce,” said Williams “With my experience in employee operations — coupled with Lockton’s unmatched resources — I bring a fresh perspective to businesses in the region. Lockton Dunning Benefits is the perfect fit for the New Orleans business climate.”
Williams is an active board member of the Tulane Association of Business Alumni and Tulane’s Freeman 50. He also serves on the Board of the Louisiana Green Corps, a construction and conservation job training program for young adults who are not engaged in work or school. Williams has served on the National Workforce Development Steering Committee of the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC).
