Upcoming key compliance deadlines and reminders for first quarter 2020

There are only weeks remaining before we leave this decade behind, and plan sponsors are (hopefully) looking forward to a well-deserved holiday break. But as we know, compliance responsibilities never rest. To that end, here’s a brief summary of some key welfare benefits plan reporting and disclosure tasks for the first quarter of 2020.

Of course, the greatest challenge might be the effort to compile, review, file and distribute ACA employer mandate reporting forms. Even if a vendor is generating these notices, please take a moment to review the forms for accuracy, particularly Form 1094-C (and particularly, Part III, column (a)).
