Women Leaders from Lockton Gather in Kansas City

More than 80 women from across the United States participated in Lockton’s national Women in Leadership event, held October 20-21 in Kansas City, MO. The theme – Fit to Do Business – carried throughout the two day conference, including segments on mental, financial and physical fitness.

Lockton Producer Sallie Giblin kicked off the event with The Giblin Game Plan – an inside look at how she runs her successful practice in Lockton’s Pacific Series. Mel Hooker of Wells Fargo talked about the many facets of financial fitness. Katrina Morris of the Kansas City Benefits Agency spoke in one breakout session about getting comfortable with sticky conversations, while Lockton Benefit Group Chief Medical Officer Ron Leopold discussed women and workplace health – by generation.

Networking with Lockton’s business partners was a focus throughout the event. Business partners in attendance included:

  • Aetna
  • BlueCross BlueShield of Texas
  • Chubb
  • Meritain Health
  • Old Republic Risk Management

Networking opportunities involved both a round table “speed dating” event with the business partners and a night at Top Golf.

The national event concluded with Lockton Benefit Group President Bob Reiff speaking about centered leadership.

Plans are underway for the 2017 national Women in Leadership event.
