No Fines for Employers for Not Distributing Exchange Notices

The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) just issued guidance confirming that an employer will not be penalized if it does not distribute the "Marketplace Notice." This is the notice about health insurance exchanges, now known as "marketplaces," that employers subject to the Fair Labor Standards Act are required to distribute to all employees by October 1, and to new hires thereafter.
