Arizona’s Fair Wages and Healthy Families Act Raises Liability Risk

Arizona voters passed the Fair Wages and Healthy Families (FWHF) Act, also known as Prop 206, on November 8, 2016. This act benefits employees and their families by increasing the minimum wage and requiring employer-provided sick leave. However, Arizona employers could easily find themselves in legal
trouble as a result of the stringent requirements around earned paid sick time.
