Reduce Health Risks and Improve Morale

Rising claims costs grabbed the attention of leadership at Saint Louis University (SLU), who wanted to highlight the importance of creating good health for its employees while finding a way to slow trend. Leadership turned to its Lockton Health Risk Solutions team for help. First the team conducted a review of the school’s InfoLock data to identify the employees’ most prevalent health risks. Then working together, Lockton and SLU leadership:

  • Designed a new points-based wellness program.
  • Set a new requirement for earning a wellness incentive.
  • Implemented a diabetes management program.

Four years later, a review of results showed that progress was being made.
