Quick Path to Outcomes-Based Program

Memorial Health System, located in Springfield, Illinois, is dedicated to improving the health of the communities it serves. This caring attitude is extended to its own employee population.

Three-Year Strategy

Determined to create a culture of healthy behaviors, Memorial Health System worked with its Lockton Health Risk Solutions® team to create a new wellness initiative that was launched in 2014. At the outset, Lockton facilitated the development of a three-year wellness strategy for Memorial Health System. Lockton also provided input on how to develop engaging financial incentives and managed the process of identifying vendor partners and overseeing their implementation processes.

Creating a Culture of Healthy Behaviors

The program is now entering its third year, and wellness activities have quickly evolved to an outcomes-based program. Despite the increasing requirements, participation remains high, at approximately 82 percent.

“This is the first year we will ask employees to meet certain biometric goals, so we don’t yet know how our employees will do. When we have data to review with our Lockton Health Risk Solutions team, then we’ll be able to develop goals for future program years to address any health issues identified.”
