Creative solution identified to reduce property rates 20%
Through a Request for Proposal process, a Lockton service team comprised of Lockton Associates from three offices (Irvine, Los Angeles and Kansas City) learned that a large architecture and engineering firm could realize significant savings for their Workers’ Compensation and Property placements. After winning the account, the team went into action with an accelerated renewal, identifying excess collateral of $700,000 in their Workers’ Compensation program.
The team then networked with Lockton’s Denver and Kansas City offices to survey Time Element exposures for other service-related clients. They identified a creative alternative to Time Element values and the underwriters agreed with their approach, resulting in more than a 20 percent reduction in property rates with increased sublimits. The client commented that it was not only the earliest renewal the firm had ever experienced, but also the renewal with the best results.
